DC Kids/DC Juniors/DC Teens
Friendship House Association’s premier before and after school Program ensures opportunities for school age children and youth to receive homework assistance, one-on-one or small group tutoring in mathematics, reading and writing (see ASAP). Children and youth, ages 5-18 years of age are engaged in a caring and nurturing environment that allows for exploration, creativity and cultural enrichment while building on leadership and community responsibility.
After School Achievement Program (ASAP)
A Supplemental Education Service Provider. ASAP Learning is a supplemental education service. ASAP is designed as an intervention program that offers tutoring and other academic enrichment activities beyond the regular school day that are high quality, steeped in solid research methodologies and have been designed to improve the academic achievement of students. ASAP Learning utilizes Compass Learning Odyssey’s powerful assessment solutions program to ensure that we, as educators, and parents have the data needed on each student’s areas of strengths and weakness to make informed decisions about his/her instructional learning path. Computer Technology and Extended Learning Program
The Computer Technology & Extended Learning program educates and empowers individuals, families and communities by developing in them and understanding and context of emerging 21st century technologies into daily life functions. We provide instruction, discussion, resources and support about internet tools, available hardware, and software programs that enhance the computer use experience.
