  Family-to-Family Mentoring

Friendship House has a Family-to-Family Mentoring Program that is sponsored by the District of Columbia Income Maintenance Administration. Our program is designed to match mentor families who will share strategies that have worked for them. They are asked to volunteer their time, energy, example and support to encourage, motivate and empower mentee families to succeed and become the strong pillars of our communities. Our families develop their own calendar of events for each month. The project's staff provides training and resources to assist in the strengthening of our families.
